So as you can see, there is absolutely no reason to remove the cat from the house during the pregnancy.
Setting up a new routine
Cats do not like their routines to be interrupted. Therefore, it is best to prepare the house and your daily routine, especially the parts of it concerning your cat, many weeks in advance.
For example: If you intend for the baby to reside in a room where the cat has some favorite spots and you would like to keep the cat out of the room for the first few weeks (which is perfectly fine), it is important to get the cat used to these changes months before the birth, while making sure that the cat keeps getting everything it needs - physically, behaviorally and mentally.
